Taking photos of Stockholm
Taking photos of Stockholm

A visual showcase of some of my favourite places, cities, sites, people and landscapes from my travels around this gorgeous world.

My first travel camera was a Panasonic DMC-TZ6 – which was ok to start with, although I quickly found its limitations. Its dynamic range was limited and I had no control over the focal point or aperture.

I upgraded to a DSLR (yay!) the Nikon D5100. This was the perfect upgrade for me at the time and I LOVED it and felt the results that I was getting were far better than with my previous camera.

I’ve since moved on to a an Olympus E-MD Mk II mirrorless camera for its smaller, lighter body (better for travelling), while still offering the functionality and quality of a DSLR – this is a recent change, and I was originally concerned that it wouldn’t stack up against the DSLR quality-wise, but I’ve very quickly had those fears put to rest. IT IS AWESOME!

I always have my iPhone with me, and the iPhone 6 has a beautiful camera so I find myself using it a lot more extensively.

I also occasionally use my GoPro Hero 2+ (more for video & timelapse than Photos). Its an older model that I purchased for when I am flying (Paragliding) but have used in a few other projects as well.
